Born in Boston, MA, Jonathan Aaronson is a skilled motion & multimedia designer.

He began his career working several years in Southern California (Los Angeles and San Diego) before relocating back to the Boston area.

 

His areas of expertise are animation, motion design, visual effects, video editing, compositing, as well as graphic and UX design.

 

Jonny has worked creatively in television, marketing, games, web, and film.

His other titles and credits have included Senior Digital Designer, Motion Graphics Artist, After Effects Specialist, Animator, CG Artist, Video Editor, Graphic Artist, UI Artist (Lord of the Rings Online), Visual Effects Artist (Chicago Rot), Stereo Compositor (Transformers: Dark of the Moon), and Voice Actor.

Aside from on his work that could be seen on the silver screen, Jonny's video and animation work have also been shown on the big screen in the Grand Ole Opry, Nashville, TN and on the Nasdaq Bell Tower and Marquee in Times Square, NYC.

Jonny received a Bachelor of Science degree in 2007 from The New England Institute of Art, where he majored in Media Arts & Animation.

He also has many years of instructing experience, including at the collegiate level, in animation, compositing & VFX, and design.

 

Jonny's other main passion is music, which led him to study guitar starting at the age of nine.  He furthered his studies at Berklee College of Music in Boston.

He plays guitar, drums, and bass. Some of the Boston based venues he has performed in include: Great Scott, O'Brien's Pub, ZuZu, Thunder Road,
and Sally O'Brien's.
